Project Desription

Orakei Marina is Auckland newest marina and was opened in 2006. There are 180 berths within the marina ranging between 12m and 40m in length and the marina is protected by a solid rock breakwater on three sides. Total Marine Services were awarded the contract to install the floating pontoons, piles and miscellaneous fittings for the marina.
Within six months of the marina being completed Total Floating Systems and Total Marine Services were commissioned to cast new concrete floats to construct the floating structure that was to house the marina office.

The existing ground condition within the breakwater area was sandstone which determined that all piles had to be drilled. The project was completed on time and within budget. Feedback from the Orakei Marina has been positive and encouraging with the berth holders very happy with our commitment and performance.

Client Testimonials:

I have had associations with eight marine construction companies over the last 30 years completing more than 17 marina developments together with numerous marine civil engineering projects and I can confidently state that Total Marine Services would be my first choice for future marine works.
